Snuffer: I have been deeply wondering the difference between an immersion of the spirit that leaves one walking a different path never to return to who they were, thirsting after the word of God like there is no tomorrow....and the baptism of fire. There seems to be a cleansing with the immersion of the spirit, but I have thought the baptism of fire is much more difinite in the outcome and purpose.Scothttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14272655492557106658noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3880654315943365046.post-87512659204253401172010-08-26T17:52:48.585-06:002010-08-26T17:52:48.585-06:00"may be brought into remembrance of all thing..."may be brought into remembrance of all things"

Denver your words seem to be especially well chosen.

This post's content causes a burning and joy within me. :) It really is true.

ThanksTaylorhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18157207426274845984noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3880654315943365046.post-31979779630278730542010-08-26T16:34:46.131-06:002010-08-26T16:34:46.131-06:00Moses asked the Lord to see His glory and the Lord...Moses asked the Lord to see His glory and the Lord said He would turn His back so Moses could see just a little from behind. Yet Moses had already spoken with Him face to face. This scripture could be explained away with the idea that the children of Israel were out of God's favor and Moses was hoping to see Him give His approval (but this time no face to face because God was angry), but it could also mean a difference in how Moses wanted to see Him.

The scripture Denver referenced above speaks of Moses seeing God with his spiritual eyes and not his natural eyes...could Moses have pushed the boundaries to want to see the glory God held with his natural eyes, and God only showed him a passing glimpse so as not to destroy Moses (yet He showed Moses something nonetheless)? Truly Moses had more things to ask of God, and he kept asking and asking and pressing and pressing.

I don't think God was angry because He had to restrain things and tell Moses, "only an account of this earth give I thee", I think He was being wise but still was pleased at Moses' insatiable appetite for light and truth. And who is to say that the answers weren't given at later times after more preparation?Brian Zang (The Zang Family)https://www.blogger.com/profile/08307604832271130264noreply@blogger.com
